Reignwood Group and Robinswood Golf Club Raise THB 5.5 Million to Empower Young Athletes at Foundation Charity Golf Tournament
December 20, 2024

RReignwood Group, in partnership with Robinswood Golf Club, hosted the highly successful Foundation Charity Golf Tournament on 17 December 2024 at the exclusive Robinswood Golf Club. The event raised an impressive THB 5.5 million to provide educational opportunities and sports development for underprivileged youth, paving their way to compete on the global stage.

The charity tournament aligns with the vision of Dr Chanchai Ruayruangruang, Chairman of Reignwood Group, whose mission is to empower disadvantaged youth by offering access to education and sports training. Through this initiative, young talents with potential but limited resources are selected for scholarships to KIS Reignwood Park. Additionally, aspiring golfers receive training from coaches at CH3 Golf Academy, hosted at Robinswood Golf Club, with extended support for youth excelling in other sports.

Ms. Worapanit Ruayruangruang, CEO of Reignwood Group, spearheaded the organisation of the Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. The funds raised—totalling THB 5.5 million—will be used entirely to support youth through the Reignwood Foundation’s (Thailand) objectives.

The tournament featured four categories: Team, Individual Flight A (Handicap 0–12), Flight B (Handicap 13–18), and Flight C (Handicap 19–24). Winners in each category were honoured with trophies presented by Dr Chanchai Ruayruangruang, alongside special prizes from sponsors including Ping, Taylormade, Titleist, Adidas, G/Fore, Tour AD, Golf Pride, The Mall Group, Betagro, and Voss. Highlights included awards for longest drive, closest to the pin, and lucky draws, with the ultimate prize being a BMW i3 for a hole-in-one.

The event also featured professional golfers, such as Thongchai Jaidee, who generously auctioned his personal putter, raising THB 500,000. Additionally, Pro Tangmo Siripatsorn Patthanachana and Pro Apil Chanoknan Angkurasenee joined in for the “Beat the Pro” challenges, adding excitement for participants.
Beyond its philanthropic impact, the Foundation Charity Golf Tournament provided opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills and compete on the international stage. It also awarded scholarships to promising students from KIS Reignwood Park. Additionally, the event facilitated training and educational programs for students, university attendees, and the general public. Beyond these initiatives, it also promoted sustainable community service activities and fostered cultural goodwill between the people of Thailand and China.
